Copleston Road

We were approached by our clients who recently purchased a large 4 bedroom house in the East Dulwich Area that needed extensive refurbishment. The house consists of 4 storeys of Victorian era, with stock brickwork and large sash windows with bay windows to the front and rear. After establishing the design brief with the client we carefully formed proposals for a new single storey side and rear extension with internal re-configurations that were both sensitive and sympathetic to the original building that would restore and work in harmony with the period features.

The house prior to work being carried out
This image illustrates how the property looked prior to work commencing, a stark contrast to the finished building. We spent extensive time reviewing the existing property and the local vernacular to assess how the proposals would work in harmony with the existing building and sympathetically respect Victorian period whilst providing a modern addition to the house.
